The Bible has a lot to say about foundations, about what your life is built upon. Matthew chapter 7 talks about the wise and foolish man. One built his house on the sand, one built his house on the rock. Then as life goes on, storms arise, and they beat on those two houses and only the house on the Rock stood through the storm. The Bible tells us that Rock is Christ, the teachings of His Word and His example. 1st Corinthians 3:11 says “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

That’s our goal for each student–to help build their faith, to strengthen their foundation and relationship with Jesus. We want to watch the Lord mature young men and women in their lives. By the teaching of God’s word, the work of the Holy Spirit along with nurturing and discipling, they'll take what they know to be true of God confidently with them through their teens, into their college experience and career time, their marriage and family, and on into eternity. The Building ministry gives students great opportunities to build a solid foundation in their love for the Lord, and to hang out in a safe environment with other Christians their age.
