We're looking forward to welcoming our special guest speaker, Sean McDowell, who is an author, speaker, and Professor of Apologetics at Biola. He's passionate about equipping Christians to Think Biblically and to cultivate a Christian Worldview that informs their lives. In addition to Sean's insightful and challenging sessions, we’ll also look forward to times of devotion and encouragement, as well as panel discussions and workshop sessions.

Dear Brothers,
Recently my contact lenses seemed a little blurry – which was weird because they were new. So I took them out and put in another set. They were blurry too. Then I noticed I could still see far, but it was the Bible I was reading that was blurry… I needed reading glasses!
Things that seemed so clear in the church and in our culture now seem a little blurry to many. Don’t get me wrong, the print of the Bible is still the same, but with the waves of culture blurring the lines, it is critical for us as Christians in 2020 to re-focus. That’s what our Calvary Chapel Men’s Retreat this year is all about: re-focusing on Christ and His word in a fuzzy culture.
We want to equip the men of our churches to have confidence in God’s Word and to ignite the passion to spread the Gospel and pass on the faith to the next generation. To do this, we have invited Sean McDowell who is an associate professor in the Christian Apologetics program at Biola University. He is the author of over 18 books and still teaches high school Bible which helps him have exceptional insight into the prevailing culture. His father, Josh McDowell, has been one of the greatest defenders of the faith of our generation and Sean is carrying that forward. Bring your sons and nephews because there will be teachings specifically geared toward every generation. It will also be a great opportunity to bring friends who may not know Christ but have questions. Along with Sean, some of our local pastors will lead devotions and workshops that will strengthen your faith.
