who we are
New to the church?
We’re glad you are taking the opportunity to check out who we are at ReGeneration Church.
The easy answer would be that we are: Individuals on a journey together in fellowship with Jesus Christ; A group diverse in age, race, socio-economic standing, religious experience and non-experience; Singles, marrieds, singles again, with kids, no kids, and kids grown up; People that enjoy being challenged in our everyday life by the solid Truths of the Word of God.
We face issues and problems, tragedies and victories, together looking for answers that are true and relevant. We find these answers in a real and growing relationship with Jesus Christ the Son of God, being empowered and directed by the Holy Spirit of God.
Our Vision and Mission is Five-Fold:
We are Worshippers - therefore “We Worship God in His Fullness” - God created and called us to be Worshippers (1 Chron. 16:29; Ps. 95; Ps. 100; Rev. 4:11; etc.). We come together in corporate worship to express our love, honor, obedience and utter dependence upon Him as God and only Sovereign of our lives.
We are Evangelical – therefore “We Seek to Win the Lost” - there is a desire to share the Gospel message in a real and relatable way to those within our circle of influence. (Matthew 28:19-20)
We are Biblical – therefore “We Seek to Equip the Saints” - the true strength of any Church is not in the number, but the depth of the people. The Bible is our source for encouragement, training and equipping for the people of God for the work of ministry that each are called to do. There is no other authority that supersedes the Word of God. (Ephesians 4:11-16; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We are Relational – therefore “We Seek to Mend the Brokenhearted” - it is as we kneel side-by-side and walk arm-in-arm with other Believers that we can find the healing and strength needed to make it through this world and the issues we face. The Bible speaks of us as a Family and as a Body – functioning together as individuals for the good of the whole. (Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
We are “Missional” – therefore “We Seek to Touch the World for Jesus” - the impact of the Church in the first century was described as “turning the world upside down”. The truth is they turned the world “right side up”. This can continue as we reach outside the walls of the church building to our community, our nation and the world beyond. Our mission field is as close as our schools, neighborhoods and jobs, and as far away as the foreign countries and cultures around the world. (Matthew 28:19-20; the entire book of Acts)
WHAT YOU’LL FIND
When you visit us at ReGen you will find folks comfortable and casual. Some will be in shorts, while other may have slacks, pressed shirts, or dresses. What matters most is the inside of an individual rather than the outside. Feel free to come comfortable, yet modest.
The Worship time will be a mixture of contemporary praise and worship along with some traditional hymns. Some songs will be fast and maybe a little loud while others will be soft and meditative – we find all of this in the Psalms! Our Worship is not a concert, but a combined choir of all who attend, singing to an audience of One.
The preaching time is primarily a teaching time through the Word of God. Calvary Chapels are known worldwide for their style of teaching that is verse-by-verse through every book of the Bible. Although there may be times that we have a topical study, the primary focus is to give the whole counsel of God’s Word in a way that can be understood, is applicable to where you are, and will be challenging you to grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To find out more about what we believe please look at the information under the What We Believe tab.
If you do come to visit, be sure to introduce yourself to one of our Servant Team. You’ll know them because they’re the ones serving the body as greeters, kitchen helpers, prayer partners, and Information Kiosk staffers! They’ll be blessed to meet you and to answer any questions you might have about ReGeneration.
If you have a specific prayer request, we invite you to pray with one of our pastors, who are located at the front of the sanctuary after each service.
Our pastors are also available for prayer and counseling, via phone or in person, throughout the week. Our normal office hours are 9a-2:30p, Tuesday-Friday. For emergency assistance during non-office hours, please call the church office and you’ll be directed to the emergency contact information.
May the Lord Richly Bless You as You Seek Him!
