We have so many people at ReGeneration who have a heart to serve, and whom the Lord has raised-up and gifted "for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry" (Eph. 4:12).
Husband to DeAnna; Dad to Rebekah, Matthew, Josiah, Elisha and Abigail; and Pastor of ReGeneration Church.
Matt “grew up” in ministry at Calvary Chapel West Covina under Pastor Raul Ries. He graduated from Azusa Pacific where he met his wife, DeAnna. He then taught and coached at a public high school when the Lord began to call him to the ministry of a pastor. Matt served as an assistant pastor for Don McClure at CC San Jose and then moved on from CCSJ to work as a teacher/principal of a school for students incarcerated for drugs and alcohol.
In 2001, the Lord led him to begin a new and fresh work, planting Calvary Chapel Gilroy where he pastored until 2012 when he came to Santa Cruz to minister. Matt is passionate about Jesus, equipping the saints, his family, and 49ers football. Ministry keeps him desperate and humbled since he is always in over his head.
Fun fact from Matt: I was first attracted to DeAnna when we were in college and I saw her working on her own car!
Bill has been serving here at ReGeneration Church since it's founding in 2000. He currently serves as the church's administrator, as well as ministering as an assistant to Pastor Matt. In addition, Bill oversees the School of Ministry program and teaches as a member of the faculty.
For nearly 25 years, he has been blessed beyond measure to be married to his wonderful wife and best friend, Michelle. The Lord has graciously given them four beautiful children Abigail, Noah, Eden, and Naomi, who keep them busy and dependent upon Him!

Fun fact from Bill: Ummm?
Pastor Ken received the Lord in 1976 during his senior year in high school, after which he met his wife of 35 years, Laura, who he would soon marry shortly after graduation. Ken and Laura have three grown children and are now enjoying their new roles as proud grandparents.
Always active in ministry, Ken learned to play the guitar years ago with the sole purpose of blessing people in worship. His passion is to help people realize who they are as complete in Christ, and to see them rest in that truth, himself included.
Tony was born in 1958 right here in Santa Cruz. Graduating from Harbor High, Tony then served six years in the USAF. He married his beautiful wife Cece 28 years ago, and together they raised three children, and are now enjoying the blessing of their seven grandchildren.
He was saved as a young teen and his life has never been the same. Despite life's ups and downs, good times and bad, Tony has seen the Lord's faithfulness and has always sensed the Lord's presence
The desire of Tony's heart is to be always "In HIS Grip," a phrase which marks his life, as described in this quote from Oswald Chambers, "Very few of us really know what it means to be held in the grip of the love of God. We tend so often to be controlled simply by our own experience. The one thing that gripped and held Paul, to the exclusion of everything else, was the love of God. “The love of Christ compels us . . . .”
Fun facts from Tony: "I once memorized 50 pages of dialogue in a pinch when one of the lead actors ended up sick only days from an Easter presentation. Could I do it now? ummm…what was the question?"
"I once got a ride in the back-seat of an F-4 Phantom jet, and I even got to fly the thing for a bit (which included doing a couple of barrel rolls).
